First, see if:

• Your representative is on the list of cosponsors of House Resolution 14
• Your two senators are on the list of cosponsors of Senate Bill 1471

If they aren’t, use our easy guides to write to or call them. Don’t know who they are? No problem—it’s easy to find your representative and your two senators.

Letters and calls aren’t your only tool. You can also pressure legislators on this issue in public forums—such as town halls and campaign events—and by commenting on their Facebook pages and referring to them on Twitter. (See CSPAN’s list of Congressional Twitter handles.) During election season, you might even contact their political challengers and suggest they make the incumbent’s lack of support of  9/11 transparency a campaign issue.

PRESSURE THE PRESIDENT

Write to the editor of your local newspaper and call in to radio and television shows. Share your opinion and ask show hosts and reporters to give more coverage to the issue and to ask politicians where they stand.
